We have just returned from Romania where we spent the last 5 days in the resort of Mamaia. This place is the largest resort on the Black Sea in Romania. We experienced a lot in those few days and tried almost everything this place has to offer. And I would like to give you a few tips that are worth trying here. 

Práve sme sa vrátili z Rumunska kde sme strávili poslených 5 dní v stredisku Mamaia. Toto miesto je najväčšie letovisko pri Čiernom mori v Rumunsku. Za tých pár dní sme toho zažili veľa a vyskúšali skoro všetko čo toto miesto ponúka. A rada by som vám dala pár tipov čo sa tu oplatí skúsiť.

What to do here: / Čo sa tu oplatí navštíviť:

1. Mamaia Beach - this is probably the main reason to go here. The beach is about 10 km long and is sandy and wide. There are bars with parasols on the whole beach, which are for a fee of about 30 lei per day (about 7 €). The best way to enjoy it is to stay in one place but go to check more.

1.  Pláž Mamaia - toto je asi hlavný dôvod prečo sa sem vybrať. Pláž má asi 10 km a je piesočná a široká. Na celej pláži sú bary so slnečníkmi ktoré sú za poplatok približne 30 lei za deň( cca 7€). Najlepšie si ju vychutnáte ak nezostanete len na jednom mieste ale prejdete si ich viac. 

2. Telegondola - a cable car that runs about 2 km along the beach and has an amazing view of the entire resort. Be sure to try it during sunset, it's an even more beautiful experience. Admission is 20 lei (approx. 4 €) per ride. You can't miss it during a trip to Mamaia, as it is the most interesting attraction in the whole area.

2. Telegondola - lanovka ktorá vedie asi 2 km pozdĺž pláže a je z nej úžasny výhlad na celé letovisko. Určite si to vyskúšajte počas západu slnka, je to ešte krajší zážitok. Vstupné je 20 lei (cca 4€) za jednu jazdu. Nemôžete ju vynechať počas výletu na Mamaii, kedže je to najzaujmavejšia atrakciia na celom stredisku.

3. Amusement park - you can get to the amusement park over the bridge, which goes over the road and looks like a boat. A very interesting idea and unmissable for children. There are many attractions to try. We also couldn't resist and chose a Ferris wheel. I recommend coming here in the evening when everything starts to come to life.

3. Lunapark - do lunaparku sa dostanete cez most, ktorý ide ponad cestou a vyzerá ako loď.Veľmi zaujmavý nápad a pre deti neprehliadnutelný. Je tu množstvo atrakcií, ktoré môžete vyskúšať. My sme tiež neodolali a vybrali si ruské kolo. Odporúčam sem prísť až večer ked začína všetko oživať. 

4. Pier / Paradela - approximately in the middle of the beach there is a pier. Walking along the pier, which is long enough, you will see the beach along its entire length. It's a really beautiful sight and when you're lucky you'll see dolphins in the distance. We were lucky and looked at them for almost half an hour.

4. Mólo/ Parasela - približne v strede pláže sa nachádza mólo. Pri prechádzke po móle, ktoré je dostatočne dlhé, uvidíte pláž po celej dĺžke. Je to naozaj krásny pohľad a keď budete mať štastie uvidite v dialke aj delfíny. My sme toto štastie mali a skoro pol hodinu sme sa na nich pozerali. 

5. Promenade - goes along the entire beach where there are shops and restaurants. If you want to buy souvenirs or go to dinner, this is the placewwhere to go. Below I will also tell you my tips on great restaurants

5. Promenada - tiahne sa pozdĺž celej pláže kde sú obchodiky a reštaurácie. Ak chcete nakpiť suveníry alebo ísť na večeru  toto je miesto kam zamierite. Nižšie vám tiež poviem moje tipy na skvelé reštaurácie 

6. Lacul Tabacariei - this lake was located close to our accommodation. We liked to come here if we wanted to change a walk by the sea for another view.

6. Lacul Tabacariei - toto jazero sa nachádzalo blízko pri našom ubytovaní. My sme sem radi chodili ak sme chceli vymeniť prechádzku pri mori za iný výhlad.

Where to eat and snack:

1. Nikos greek tavern - since we love Greek food, we could not miss this tavern and we had excellent souvlaki or moussaka. If you are the same lover of Greek cuisine, this is a clear stop.

2. Grill house - an interesting concept of a restaurant with American cuisines such as a burger, steaks, or ribs. They also have the best apple pie I've ever had, be sure to order it.

3. Andrea Terrace - a very nice place with international cuisine, where everyone can find something for themselves

4. Sombrero - sweet churros or salty nachos, we had both as a quick snack

5. Kebab - this is a classic that will not get bored. If you prefer chicken kebabs, you can find them here

6. Gogosi - small cones with sweet icing were made in several stalls and I could never resist them. Whether we took them on the way to the beach or just for dessert

Kde sa oplatí ísť na večeru alebo snack:

1. Nikos greek taverna - keďže milujeme grécke jedlo nemohli sme tuto tavernu vynechať a dali sme si vynikajúce suflaki či moussaku. Ak ste rovnaký milovníci gréckej kuchyne, toto je jasná zastávka.

2. Grill house - zaujímavý koncept reštaurácie s americkou kuchyňou ako je burger, steaky alebo rebierka. Tiež tu majú ten najlepší apple pie aký som kedy mala, určite si ho objednajte.  

3. Terasa Andrea - veľmi pekné miesto s medzinárodnou kuchyňou, kde si každý nájde niečo svoje 

4. Sombrero - sladké churros alebo slané nachos, my sme si dávali oboje ako rýchly snack 

5. Kebab - toto je klasika ktorá neomrzí. Ak máte radšej kurací kebab, tu ho nájdete

6. Gogosi - malé šišky so sladkou polevou robili vo viacerych stánkoch a nevedela som im nikdy odolať. Či už sme si ich vzali cestou na pláž alebo len ako dezert
