Budapest has been our love for many years. Maybe it's because we live quite close to this city, but it can also be because this place is really beautiful. It offers many interesting touristic, but also more places for locals that you should see when you go there next time.

Budapešť je našou srdcovkou už po dlhé roky. Možno to bude tým, že bývame pomerne blízko tohto mesta, ale môže to byť aj tým, že toto miesto je naozaj nádherné. Ponúka mnoho zaujímavých turistických, ale aj menej turistických miest, ktoré by ste mali vidieť, keď tam najbližšie pôjdete.

Basilica of St. Stefan

This Basilica is magnificent and looks good every season. A long street leads to it, where you will also find Christmas markets during the winter. At the basilica, you will also find a number of cafes or restaurants where you can enjoy this place a bit more, but certainly, the prices will be a little bit higher. We go to this basilica whenever we are in Budapest for at least one time.

Bazilika sv. Štefana

Táto Bazilika je veľkolepá a vyzerá dobre v každom ročnom období. Vedie k nej dlhá ulica, na ktorej počas zimného obdobia nájdete aj Vianočné trhy. Pri bazilike nájdete aj množstvo kaviarní, či reštaurácií, kde si môžete vychutnať toto miesto o čosi viac, no určite tu ceny budú o niečo vyššie. My k tejto bazilike zájdeme vždy, keď sme v Budapešti aspoň na jeden deň.

Parliament

Who wouldn't recognize it? A magnificent building on the banks of the Danube, which offers many photographic places. You can try to find this place by the Danube or directly by the Parliament. Try to walk around a bit and you will definitely find a spot where there will not be many tourists.

Kto by ho nepoznal? Veľkolepá stavba na brehu Dunaja, ktorá ponúka množstvo fotografických miest. Môžete využiť miesto pri Dunaji, či priamo pri Parlamente. Skúste sa trošku prejsť dookola a určite nájdete spot, kde nebude množstvo turistov. 

Bridges

Budapest offers many beautiful bridges. Some are known for their history, others attract modern design. On these bridges, you can create unique photos, with different backgrounds, as they stretch across the Danube.

Mosty

Budapešť ponúka mnoho krásnych mostov. Niektoré sú známe pre svoju históriu, iné lákajú na novodobý dizajn. Na týchto mostoch si viete vytvoriť jedinečné fotky, s rôznym pozadím, pretože sa tiahnu po celom Dunaji.

Budapest Eye

It was new for us, as this "eye" is not there all year round. From this eye, you will have a beautiful view and something different from those famous sightseeing places. You can also see the above-mentioned Basilica or Parliament from here. We went here in the early evening and had the opportunity to observe night Budapest from a higher point.

Pre nás to bola novinka, keďže toto "oko" tam nie je celoročné. Z tohto kolesa budete mať krásny výhľad a o niečo iný než z tých známych vyhliadkových miest. Tiež odtiaľ môžete vidieť vyššie spomínanú Baziliku či Parlament. My sme sa sem vybrali podvečer a mali sme možnosť pozorovať nočnú Budapešť z vyššieho bodu.

Fisherman's Bastion

I think it is one of the most famous places in Budapest. It offers a perfect view of Budapest and many interesting views. We didn't make it on our last visit, but we believe that we will get to Budapest again as soon as possible.

Myslím, že je jedným z najznámejších miest v Budapešti. Ponúka dokonalý výhľad na Budapešť a množstvo zaujímavých pohľadov. Pri našej poslednej návšteve sme ju nestihli, no veríme, že hneď ako to bude možné sa do Budapešti dostaneme opäť.

Metro line M1

It is one of the oldest metro lines in Europe. The design of the platform will appeal to you, as well as the old wagons that run on this line. If you want to look here, don't forget to buy a metro ticket, because there are always checks in these areas.

Je jednou z najstarších liniek metra v Európe. Osloví vás dizajn nástupišta ale aj staré vágony, ktoré na tejto linke premávajú. Ak sa chcete sem pozrieť, nezabudnite si kúpiť lístok na metro, pretože v týchto priestoroch sú vždy kontroly.

In addition to good food, you will find a piece of their history in Hungarian restaurants. These restaurants often have a beautiful typical interior, and if you ask, you may be able to take some beautiful photos.
