Monaco and Monte Carlo was sometimes a place for me to go only when I had enough money and expensive clothes. So what is the reality?

Monaco a Monte Carlo sa vyznačujú luxusom, bohatstvom a kasínami. Aký som mala pocit po príchode do týchto miest? Je to naozaj tak viditeľné? Všetky moje pocity sa dočítaš v nasledujúcom článku.

Monaco a Monte Carlo bolo pre mňa niekedy miestom, kam sa vyberiem, len keď budem mať dostatok peňazí a dostatočne drahé oblečenie. Aká je teda skutočnosť?

It is true that when you come to Monaco you will feel luxury and wealth wherever you look. This feeling is evoked in you by expensive cars, tall buildings, well-known brand stores, casinos and huge yachts that cost as much as a millionaire house here.

Still, I didn't feel they were selecting people in this city. Immediately after arriving in this beautiful city we went to the old part of Monaco. In this part, you will find beautiful places. There are perfect French streets, many gardens, Prince's Palace and Notre Dame Cathedral. It is a beautiful walk from which you can see the whole Monte Carlo, along with a lot of history.

Je pravdou, že pri príchode do Monaca pocítiš luxus a bohatstvo všade kam sa obzrieš. Tento pocit v tebe vyvolávajú drahé autá, vysoké budovy, obchody známych značiek, kasína a taktiež obrovské jachty, ktoré stoja toľko ako u nás milionársky dom.

Aj napriek tomu, som nemala pocit, že v tomto meste selektujú ľudí. Hneď po príchode do tohto nádherného mesta sme sa vybrali do starej časti Monaca. V tejto časti nájdeš krásne miesta. Sú tu dokonalé francúzske uličky, množstvo záhrad, palác princa či katedrálu Notre Dame. Je to krásna prechádzka, z ktorej vidíš celé Monte Carlo a popri tom množstvo histórie.


Na tomto mieste je tiež múzeum oceanografie, skate park či vonkajšie kino. Je to vhodné miesto na poznávanie Monaca z inej strany, než z tej luxusnej.


If you head down the hill to Monte Carlo and the beach, you will find the famous Formula Race track and a beautiful promenade. On this road, I prefer to go to Jardin Japonais de Monaco, where there is a perfect contrast between the garden and the huge city in the background. Also, behind this city, high mountains and weather create a contrast that always requires your attention. I was in Monaco 2 times and it looked like it was going to rain after each. It wasn't like that once, because these hills somehow change the weather.

Ak sa odtiaľ vyberieš dole kopcom k Monte Carlo a pláži, nájdeš cestou známu pretekársku dráhu Formuly a krásnu promenádu. Ja po tejto ceste najradšej zachádzam do Jardin Japonais de Monaco, kde je dokonalý kontrast záhrady a obrovského mesta v pozadí. Taktiež za týmto mestom tvoria kontrast vysoké hory a počasie, ktoré vždy vyžaduje tvoju pozornosť. V Monacu som bola 2 krát a po každom vyzeralo, že bude pršať. Ani raz to tak nebolo, pretože tieto kopce tak nejak to počasie menia.





Farther from the Japanese Gardens, you will find Larvotto Beach, where many tourists usually meet. It is a place beneath the road where you will find a beach, a small snack and souvenir shops and such a perfect place for rest. During my second visit, I had the opportunity to observe the beautiful azure color of the sea, which surprised me in good way.

O kúsok ďalej od Japonských záhrad nájdeš pláž Larvotto Beach, na ktorej sa zvyčajne stretáva mnoho turistov. Je to miesto pod cestou, kde nájdeš pláž, malé obchodíky s občerstvením a suvenírmi a taký dokonalý oddych. Pri mojej druhej návšteve som mala možnosť aj tu pozorovať krásnu azúrovú farbu mora, čo ma príjemne prekvapilo.

Cestou späť na vlakovú stanicu sme sa zastavili pri najznámejšom Casíne "Casino Monte-Carlo" a veľmi známej kaviarni Café de Paris. Obe tieto miesta sú krásne a nad nimi sú vytvorené opäť záhrady. Pri našej návšteve tieto záhrady prerábali, ale verím, že tam vznikli krásne a originálne záhrady, ktoré sú v celom francúzsku veľmi obľúbené.



When we arrived at the train station, which is totally different from what you would expect, our train delayed 2 hours. respectively, no train resisted for 2 hours. Such things can happen in Monaco, not just in small towns. The train station is underground and reminds the metro. Therefore, if you look for it, do not expect any huge signs or buildings. You'll find it underground.

Keď sme došli na vlakovú stanicu, ktorá je úplne iná ako by ste čakali, náš vlak meškal 2 hodiny. respektíve, žiadny vlak nepremával 2 hodiny. Tak aj takéto veci sa môžu stať v Monacu, nie len v malých mestách. Vlaková stanica sa nachádza v podzemí a pripomína metro. Preto ak ju budeš hľadať, nečakaj žiadne obrovské nápisy, alebo budovy. Nájdeš ju v podzemí.


Advantages of this place:

Disadvantages:

1. This place is considerably more expensive when buying food or ordinary things
2. If you walk, you will really walk many kilometers
3. In the summer, many bus tours come here, causing flushing of tourists

Výhody tohto miesta:
1. Toto miesto prináša množstvo histórie, ktorá ťa prekvapí
2. Spravíš si tu dokonalé fotografie
3. Sú tu nádherné možnosti vyhliadky
4. Záhrady!

Nevýhody:
1. Toto miesto je značne drahšie pri kúpe potravín či obyčajných vecí
2. Ak budeš chodiť peši, nachodíš naozaj množstvo kilometrov
3. V lete sem chodí mnoho autobusových zájazdov, ktoré spôsobujú návaly turistov
