The last place that I was visiting in 2016 was Rome or the Eternal City. The capital of Italy has been my second place in Italy so I knew already what can I expected from the Italians. I arrived at Ciampino Airport, which is located about 15 km from the center,so we caught the morning peak hours instead of 30 minutes journey took about an hour fifteen minutes, but it´s normal for the big cities.

Posledným miestom, ktoré som stihla navštíviť ešte v roku 2016 bol Rím alebo večné mesto. Hlavné mesto Talianska bolo moje druhé miesto v Taliansku a tak som už vedela čo môžem od Talianov očakávať. Priletela som na letisko Ciampino, ktoré je vzdialené asi 15 km od centra a tak sme ráno chytili špičku a namiesto 30 minút nám cesta trvala asi hodinu a 15 minút, ale to sa stáva vo všetkých väčších mestách.

 I try to travel with quite a small budget, so even this time I was looking for cheap accommodation and found them next to the main  station Termini (which I'm very fit, because we had a departure early in the morning). Now you may ask what is actually cheap accommodation? For me it was a room with private bathroom for four days for € 112 for two.

Kedže sa snažím cestovať s celkom malým rozpočtom, tak aj tento krát som hľadala lacné ubytovanie a našla som ho hneď vedľa hlavnej stanice Termini ( čo mi veľmi vyhovovalo, pretože odlet sme mali skoro ráno). Teraz sa možno pýtate čo je to vlastne lacné ubytovanie? Pre mňa to bola izba s vlastnou kúpeľňou na 4 dni za 112€ pre dvoch.

And now let's get to know how to use these few days and see as much as possible. My first day we passed through the square four fountains to  the Trevi Fountain, which completely captivated me most so we are here during our trip came again. From the fountain, we went to the Spanish Steps. If you find yourself initially below, get them up to the church, there is a really beautiful view.

A teraz už poďme k tomu ako najlepšie využiť týchto pár dni a vidieť čo najviac. My sme sa prvý deň prešli cez námestie štyroch fontán k Fontáne di Trevi, ktorá ma uchvátila úplne najviac a aj preto sme sem počas nášho výletu prišli ešte raz. Od fontány sme sa ďalej vydali ku španielskym schodom. Ak sa najprv ocitnete dole pod nimi určite si ich vyjdite aj hore ku kostolu, odtiaľ je naozaj krásny výhľad.

The second day we set aside all the Vatican city. First morning we went to the Vatican Museums, where we endured hour row on the ticket. Definitely I recommend to book tickets over the internet, even if it is based on € 4 more expensive, but you will save yourself at least an hour. We spent about two hours  there and we tried to go through all even though they were a lot. At the end of these museums is Sistine chapel, which elected Pope. If you are thinking whether to come here worth it, I can say that I really enjoyed it there even though I am not an art lover.

Druhý deň sme si celý vyhradili na Vatikán. Najprv sme sa ráno vybrali do Vatikánskych múzeí, kde sme si vystáli hodinovú radu na lístky. Určite odporúčam rezervovať si lístky cez internet, aj keď to vychádza o 4€ drahšie ale ušetríte si minimálne hodinu. Strávili sme tu asi dve hodiny a snažili sme sa prejsť všetky aj keď ich bolo naozaj neúrekom. Na konci týchto múzeí je Sixstínska kaplnka, v ktorej sa volí pápež. Ak rozmýšľaš či sa sem oplatí prísť, môžem povedať že mne sa tam naozaj páčilo aj keď nie som milovník umenia.

After all the museums we went to the St. Peter´s Squarer and also to the St. Peter's Basilica which was  really interested in it´s size but also by what was spectacular. And since it was also the opportunity to go up to the tower, so we drove there. Up to the half of tower could go with lift. Even though there were still many spiral staircase, but eventually we did it. The view really was worth it. From that point you can see all of Rome.

Po všetkých tých múzeách sme šli na námestie sv. Petra a tiež do baziliky. Bazilika sv. Petra ma naozaj zaujala jej veľkosťou ale aj tým aká bola veľkolepá. A keďže bola možnosť ísť aj hore do veže, vybrali sme sa tam. Hore na vežu sa do polovice dalo ísť výťahom. Aj napriek tomu tam bolo ešte veľa točitých schodov, ale napokon sme to dali. Ten výhľad ale naozaj stál za to. Je odtiaľ vidieť na celý Rím.

After all the museums we had to take a break. But tonight we could and we wanted to see the Trevi Fountain at night lighting and just so we sit there and breathe the atmosphere being present. And we also stopped at the evening Coloseo that looked more beautiful than during the day (pity those metal barriers which spoils the overall impression).

Po všetkých tých múzeách sme si museli na chvíľu oddýchnuť. Ale večer nám to nedalo a chceli sme ešte raz vidieť fontánu di Trevi pri večernom osvetlení a len tak sme si tam posedeli a dýchali prítomnú atmosféru. A taktiež sme sa zastavili pri večernom Koloseum, ktoré vyzeralo ešte krajšie ako cez deň (škoda tých plechových zábran, ktoré kazia celkový dojem).

Our last day we went again to the Coloseum, but the day we decided to go the next trip to this wonderful city. When you want goto the Coloseum I recommend come here early in the morning,when there are not many tourist. Or you could to book a vip toor when you can go to the places where you can´t go normal. We can go from there to the Forum Romanum and then to the Capitol. And instead we had a beautiful weather, right there I find a little pattiserie I must try Italian Gellato.

Náš posledný deň sme sa vybrali ešte raz ku Koloseu, ale dnu sme sa rozhodli, že pôjdeme pri ďalšom výlete do tohto úžasného mesta.Ak chcete isť do Kolosea odporúčam prísť skoro ráno, keď je menej turistov alebo si objednať vip vstup kde ťa vezmú aj do miest, kde sa inak nedostanete.  My sme odtiaľ prešli ku Forum Romanum a potom ku Kapitolu. A keďže sme mali skvelé počasie práve tu som v jednej menšej cukrárni neodolala ani pravému talianskemu gellatu.

Then our actions directed towards the Pantheon, which has surprised and stunned. Not far away is the Piazza Navona, which is the largest square in Rome (at all I do not seem so, just the opposite was also a small cozy). Rest of the day we used to walk more and of course shopping.Our trip ended with this  and we had an early morning departure so we wanted to get the first bus to Ciampino airport but soon we will not fit on the bus. Therefore, I recommend to buy bus tickets in advance so that we do not have to deal with such things.

Potom naše kroky smerovali k Pantheonu, ktorý ma prekvapil a ohúril. Neďaleko odtiaľ je Piazza Navona, čo je najväčšie námestie v Ríme (vôbec mi to tak nepripadalo, práve naopak bolo take malé útulné). Zvyšok dňa sme využili ešte na prechádzku  a samozrejme na nákupy.Náš výlet týmto končil a tým že sme mali odlet skoro ráno chceli sme isť prvým autobusom na letisko Ciampino no skoro sme sa do autobusu nezmestili. Preto odporúčam kúpiť si lístky na autobus dopredu aby sme nemuseli takéto veci riešiť.
