Čo vás napadne keď sa povie mesto ktoré spájajú ostrovčeky a kanály? Že to musia byť Benátky. A čo keby sme išli po mape trochu vyššie. Prst nám padne práve na Štokholm a nie len tak náhodou,  toto mesto sa môžme považovať za "Benátky Severu". A práve tu sme sa ocitli celkom spontánne a hlavne príčinou lacných leteniek.

What do you think of when you hear the city that connect the islands and canals? It must be Venice. And what if we go a little above the map. Finger fits us just to Stockholm and not just by chance, this town we can be considered as' Venice of the North ". This is where we found ourselves quite spontaneously and the main causes of cheap flights.

Prileteli sme na letisko Skavsta, ktoré bolo asi hodinku cesty autobusom do centra Štokholmu. Ale aspoň sme mali možnosť vidieť aj niečo málo z nádhernej švédskej prírody. Na nasledujúcich päť nocí sa naším útočiskom stal Hostel Generator, najmä kvôli jeho polohe neďaleko od centra. 

We arrived at Skavsta airport, which was about an hour bus ride to the center of Stockholm. But at least we have seen a little of the beautiful Swedish countryside. For the next five nights became our next home Generator Hostel, mainly because of its location near the center.

Ale poďme ďalej, predtým ako sme sa sem vybrali som vôbec nemala poňatia čo od tohto mesta môžem očakávať, iba že to bude drahé. Nakoniec ma prekvapilo a väčšinou všetko stálo iba o trochu viac ako v ostatných metropolách. 

But let's move on, before we were here, I chose not to have a clue as to this city can expect only that it will be expensive. Finally, I was surprised and mostly everything was  only slightly more expencive than in other big cities.

Keďže sme nebývali ďaleko od centra snažili sme sa prejsť všetko pešo, čo sa veľa krát oplatilo a našli sme aj niečo o čom sme nevedeli. Ako prvé sme teda išli na Gamla Stan, čo je hlavné centrum a nachádza sa tu mnoho pamiatok a múzeí. Očaria vás tu krásne úzke uličky a zaujímavé domčeky. Tiež tu stoja dve ikonické domčeky, ktoré sú najstaršie v celom meste a hneď ich ľahko spoznáte. Trochu ďalej je kráľovský palác pri ktorom sa tradične o 12:00 mení stráž a je to úžasný zážitok. Hneď pri paláci je múzeum mincí, ktoré je zadarmo ako väčšina múzeí na ostrove Gamla Stan.

Since we did not live far from the city we tried to go through all by the foot, which is worth a lot of times and we found something we did not know about. So we first went to Gamla Stan which is the main center and there are many monuments and museums. You will be fascinated by this beautiful narrow streets and interesting houses. See alsotwo iconic houses, which are the oldest in the city and now its easy to recognize. A little further is the royal palace in which it is traditionally at 12.00 guard is changing and it's an amazing experience. Once at the Palace of the Mint Museum, which is free as most of the museums on the island of Gamla Stan.

Troška dlhšou prechádzkou sme sa ďalší deň vydali na ostrov Djurgarden. Práve tu sa nachádza hádam najznámejšie múzeum Vasa a to sme nesmeli vynechať. Všetci ktorých aspoň trochu zaujímajú dejiny a Vikingovia budú ohúrení tak ako ja. Vstupné je 130 SEK pre dospelých a deti do 18 rokov to majú zdarma. Hlavne sa nenechajte odradiť dlhou radou, pretože ide veľmi rýchlo a my sme nečakali dlhšie ako 10 minút. Na tomto ostrove sú aj iné rovnako známe múzeá ako Nordiska musset, Skansen alebo Abba museum.

A little longer we walk the next day we went to the island of Djurgarden. There currently is perhaps most famous Vasa Museum, and we were not allowed to miss. All of which at least a little interested in history and the Vikings will be impressed as I do. Entrance fee is 130 SEK for adults and children under 18 years to be free. Especially do not be discouraged long waiting line, because it is very fast and we did not wait more than 10 minutes. On this island there are other well-known museums like Nordiska Musset, Skansen museum or Abba museum.

Medzi ďalšie naše zastávky patrila veža Stadshuset z ktorej za poplatok 50 SEK sa dostanete hore a uvidíte Štokholm ako na dlani. Bola to určite jedna z mojich najobľúbenejších miest zo Štokholmu.

Another stop was tower of Stadshuset which charge 50 SEK you get up and see Stockholm at the hand. It was definitely one of my favorite places in Stockholm.

V tomto krásnom meste je ešte veľa vecí, ktoré sa opatí vidieť ako Drottnigholm palác, Fotografiska musset, Nobel musset  a mnoho ďalších. No nám sa nechcelo stále hnať za pamiatkami a tak sme si chceli užiť a vcítiť sa do atmosféry tohto mesta a nechať sa ňou unášať. Mňa úplne toto mesto dostalo a tak sa sem ešte určite vrátim. A ešte malý tip na záver, neberte si sem hotovosť úplne všade sa dá platiť kartou. 

In this beautiful city there are still many things to see again as Drottningholm Palace, Fotografiska Musset, Nobel Musset and many others. But we still did not want to rush for monuments and so we want to enjoy and feel the atmosphere of this city and be carried away by it. I think this city got me completely and so I definitely return there. And another little tip at the end, do not take cash here everywhere you can pay by credit card.
